Abstract:
This chapter briefly describes a simulation-based parameter extraction program and then indicates where symbolic simulation can successfully replace the traditional numerical approach. An interface between symbolic and numerical simulators is outlined and the intergration of these two approaches is discussed in the context of parameter extraction. Practical examples of parameter extraction are used as an illustration as well as the basis of some performance comparisons.
